한 HAN The Musical
한 Han is set around World War II, during Japan’s invasion of Korea, and is based on the life Sunja, a captive Korean comfort woman. The musical follows her and the hardships she faces as she tries to escape from the Imperial Army. Han features a new musical score which intertwines the Japanese national anthem and Korean folk songs to create a haunting new musical.
Han is a new original musical that will be debuting at the Tristan Bates Theatre from September 15-17th, 2016. As part of the Going for Gold Festival produced by the MA students of Goldsmiths, University of London.
